COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear church family and friends,

With the increase in concern around the world and in our Nation about COVID-19 and it's danger we would like you to know that the leadership of OSBC is following the current situation.  It is our desire to provide a safe and sensible environment at OSBC for you and your family to come and worship.

We have taken into consideration many sources including the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).  The CDC has advised the immediate health risk to the general public is considered low.  There are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson or surrounding counties.  Jackson County Schools will resume school after spring break as normal with extra precautions.  Considering these sources this is the plan we at OSBC will follow as long as necessary.

What precautions are already in place?

  • Hand sanitizer is regularly available throughout the church.

  • We also have a cleaning team, who regularly cleans the church throughout the week, and weekend.

  • Sanitizing highly touched surfaces before and after services such as, doors, handles, water fountains, bathrooms, pews, and classrooms.  This includes a heavy focus on our children's ministry/nursery.

What new precautions are we taking?

  • While hand sanitizer has always been available we will be increasing the number of locations, so you can find it throughout our sanctuary.

  • We are replacing HVAC filters frequently to prevent (if any) bacteria from the building.

  • We are encouraging our volunteers to greet you with a wave and smile, instead of a handshake.

What can you do?

  • Stay home if you are sick.  We invite you to watch our services online at www.oldsavannah.org or on the available social media outlets.

  • If you have been exposed to anyone with the coronavirus, the flu, or any other contagious condition please stay home.

  • Pray for those infected across the world and trust in our all-powerful God for protection from and an end to the virus.

  • Don't Panic!

  • Wash your hands more frequently with soap and water!

We will continue to have all regular services at OSBC with extra precautions in place.

If you are uncomfortable attending a large gathering, or if you are one of our more at risk church-goers, we completely support your decision to stay home. Our services will continue to be live streamed on Facebook and from our website www.oldsavannah.org

Pray!

We need not live in Fear! God is in control!

In Christ's Service,

Pastor Austin Frady
